Got questions? So do the best GCs we work with.

We built this page around the most common things project managers, estimators, and site leads want to know before they work with us — from how we price jobs to how we show up on site.

If you're wondering how Range fits into your project, you'll probably find the answer here.

Working with Range:

Answers to common questions about how we work with general contractors, developers, and framing partners.

  • We plan like a general contractor, not a labour-only sub. Every project is modelled, scoped, and mapped before we hit site. We handle the entire package in-house, with professional crews and one point of contact from start to finish.

  • No. While the full system delivers the best results, we also support clients who only need labour, design assist, prefab, or material supply. We are flexible, and we can plug in where it makes sense.

  • We work with general contractors, developers, and other framing companies who need extra support on design, supply, or execution.

  • We are based in Diamond Valley, Alberta and work across Calgary, the Bow Valley, and throughout Western Canada.

  • The earlier, the better. If we are involved in pre-construction, we can model the job, flag issues in the drawings, and lock in accurate material pricing before the build starts.

Pricing & Estimating

Fixed pricing, real takeoffs, clear timelines
Get clarity on how we estimate framing jobs using BIM modelling, offer fixed material pricing, and scope both full packages and partial support.

  • We model every component in-house and create takeoffs based on actual quantities. No square foot averages, no rough estimates. That accuracy is what allows us to lock material pricing and hold it.

  • Estimates are free. If design assist or BIM coordination is needed, we quote that as part of the package or on a case-by-case basis.

  • Yes. Because we model and control the supply, we can commit to fixed pricing further out than most framing companies.

  • We price labour-only jobs as needed. If you are supplying materials, we still recommend involving us early to review for constructability and reduce risk.

  • Most estimates take two to four weeks depending on project complexity. That includes design review, BIM modelling, material takeoffs, and internal planning.

Project Execution & Scope

What we build and how we run the job. Covers our on-site framing services, from trained crews and foremen to prefab delivery, crane planning, and EWP integration.

  • Design assist, BIM modelling, fixed-price material supply (including framing materials, stairs, and roof flow systems), in-house prefabrication, labour, and crane coordination — all delivered under one contract with one integrated team.

  • Yes. We supply and coordinate EWP components regularly as part of our scope.

  • Yes, especially when we are involved in planning. We model crane placement, staging, and logistics to keep the build on track.

  • Each project is overseen by a superintendent, with senior and junior foremen leading the crews on site. Every team arrives fully briefed, works in coordinated crews, and operates to consistent professional standards.

  • We frame multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial projects across Western Canada. We are often active on more than 300,000 square feet at any given time.

Safety, Compliance & Admin

Certifications, safety systems, and documentation Details on COR certification, site safety plans, liability coverage, and daily safety practices.

  • Not yet. We are currently working toward our COR certification and maintain strict safety practices across all our projects.

  • Always. Every job has a tailored safety plan that aligns with site conditions, scope, and GC expectations.

  • We hold toolbox talks daily, run regular crew check-ins, and conduct site audits. Our foremen are trained in safety leadership and responsible for upholding our standards on site.

  • Yes. We carry full liability insurance and can provide documentation during pre-qualification.

  • Email us at admin@rangeconstructionltd.com. We can provide our safety manuals and documentation, and share access to our Bow Valley Safety–managed app where project partners can view our safety resources on site.
